Learn more about Jo:

Owner and Artist Fierce Siren Studios

An avid beachcomber, Bottle Curator for the Half Moon Bay History Museum and avid artist who incorporates local beach-found treasures into her work while researching, writing, and educating about them. Always drawing as a child, Jo won a competition to create her high school’s logo, studied art and architectural history at the University of London as a teen, then graduated with Honors from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Life kept her away from creating for decades, until the sea rekindled the spark. She founded Fierce Siren Studios in 2021 and thinks of herself as an artist whose inspiration is the waste of the past.
