A passionate advocate for clean oceans and coastal stewardship, Elizabeth Roberts spends much of her free time cleaning beaches and exploring Oregon’s watersheds. Over the years she has participated in large scale marine debris removal projects and research expeditions in the Gulf of Alaska and the Gulf of Maine. She uses marine debris to create art that inspires awareness about plastic pollution and how single use plastics and our consumer choices are impacting our oceans fragile ecosystems. Elizabeth has built sculptures for The Washed Ashore Project in Oregon, Bømlo Kunstlag in Norway and the Norrie Point Environmental Center in Staatsburg New York.
